Dhunseri Petro is in the Plastic Products sector. Until 2008-08, Dhunseri Tea and Industries Limited was engaged in tea production and ,arketing on the one hand, while venturing into IT infrastructure development on the other. The group had promoted South Asian petrochem Ltd.(SAPL) in 1996 to setup a greenfield PET Venture SAPL was amalgamated with Dhunseri Tea and Industries Limited with effect from 1 April 2009, with the objective to enhance scale, growth and sustainability. The result was the creation of Dhunseri Petrochem & Tea Limited (gross revenues in the range of Rs. 2200 crore). The current market capitalisation stands at Rs 345.77 crore.The company has reported a consolidated sales of Rs 312.96 crore and a Net Loss of Rs 4.76 crore for the quarter ended Mar 2010.
